how to prepare your cup

1. Boil the water

Use fresh, cold water. Bring it to a full boil for black tea, or just under a boil for green and herbal blends.

2. Add your tea

Add one heaped teaspoon of loose leaf, or one tea bag, per cup. Add milk or sweetener if that's how you take it.

3. Let it steep

Let the tea sit for three to five minutes. Longer steeping deepens the flavor, though too long can turn it bitter.

4. Strain & enjoy

Strain the leaves or bag, then pour into your favorite mug. Add any extras you like, and enjoy.

Beautiful teas from kenya to your cup

From our base in Mombasa, we work with Kenyan tea leaves known for their bright colour and full character.

Grown with purpose

What makes Kenyan tea worth knowing about

Kenya has a long history of tea cultivation. The conditions, the altitude, and the harvesting methods have shaped how Kenyan tea looks, tastes, and brews. Here is what sets it apart.

Two leaves and a bud

Kenyan tea is harvested from the youngest, most tender part of the plant. This is the part that produces the brightest colour and the fullest flavour.

Kenya's natural growing conditions

Kenyan tea farming has a long-standing practice of working with the natural environment. The altitude and climate of Kenya's tea regions reduce the need for chemical intervention.

Highland grown

Kenyan tea is cultivated at high altitudes across the country's central and western regions. The elevation and cool temperatures shape the character of every leaf.
